As globe-trotters and jet-setters, we think we know all about cross-cultural differences. Some are obvious, most are not. They come to light at work, with friends & in love. Like it or not, your own assumptions & behaviours affect how you interact with people of different origins.
Join us for the US Alumni Club's 1st Career PowWow (the first of many more we hope) for a deep dive on Cultural Intelligence. Learn to develop approaches to have more effective cross-cultural interactions & have a laugh discovering some of the things you do that you may not have even noticed.
This is your opportunity to develop your career by attending a C-level PowWow, the kind normally reserved for your boss's boss's boss's...boss (you get the picture).
What: Career PowWow: Raising Cultural Intelligence
We want our career sessions to be interactive, kinda like a powwow (without the singing and dancing...well, never say never, it could happen). Open to all alumni of US Universities.
When: Wednesday, 28th October, 7 - 9pm
Where: Winston House: European Study Centre for UNC
Why: Because we've all had those awkward moments of "Was it something I said?"
Cost: £30, includes networking reception (wine & nibbles)
